AI Use
How LedgerPilot uses AI
LedgerPilot Cloud uses a platform-managed AI provider to help read receipts, invoices, statements, and other business records. The API credentials stay on LedgerPilot's server and are never exposed to customers or the browser.
AI scanning is included with your plan and becomes available after your subscription is active.
Managed by LedgerPilot
AI receipt scanning is included with active Basic and Plus plans. Customers do not need an OpenAI account or API key.
Used for record assistance
AI can help read receipts, invoices, statements, and business documents so details are prepared for review.
You review the results
AI output can be wrong. Customers remain responsible for confirming merchants, dates, totals, categories, and reports.
Plan-based limits
Basic includes 100 AI scans per month and Plus includes 300. Usage is enforced by LedgerPilot on the server.
What may be sent for AI processing
Depending on the workflow, selected business-record information may be sent to LedgerPilot's configured AI provider.
Customer controls
LedgerPilot assists with extraction, but you decide what to analyze and what information is ultimately saved.
AI output must be reviewed
AI can make mistakes. LedgerPilot does not provide tax, legal, accounting, banking, investment, or financial advice. Customers are responsible for reviewing extracted information, checking totals, confirming categories, and consulting qualified professionals when needed.
Managed securely by LedgerPilot
LedgerPilot selects and manages the production AI model. Customers do not see the platform API key or need to maintain a separate AI account. Custom provider access may be offered later to specifically entitled accounts without changing the standard experience.
